CORRECTION MOCK EXAM GENDER EQUALITY AND AI

CORRECTION AI WILL TAKE MORE JOBS FROM WOMEN THAN MEN BY 2030

INTRODUCTION  cf methodology

SUMMARY OF THE TEXT

FROM LINE 1 TO 4

The text that we wil delve into underlines the impact of AI on the job market as a whole but more particularly on femaile workers

Indeed AI will allow automation to improve and be widespread. It will thus replace workers in manual and repetitive tasks in the years to come.

FROM LINE 5 TO 9

Thes jobs can be found mainly in the food, retail and customers services where women are  the most likely to be.

As a matter of fact most women  work in this low skilled, low paid jobs mostly because they cannot  focus on their career because of their domestic duties.

Minorities such as Black and hispanic workers find themselves in the same situation all the more as they are not highly educated.

FROM LINE 10 TO 13

Thus the only solution for this category of employees will be to change jobs.

Therefore they will also have to acquire new skills  by getting some training or going back to school which is not going to be easy fro women.

As a consequence women  are bound to ( be bound to = vont forcément) lose their jobs and not be able to find a new one.

FROM LINE 14 TO THE END

The text ends  by highlighting the domains in which jobs could be found in the future  such as the green economy, health care.

These occupations  are not easily performed by AI .So they will be preserved.

Still the text ends by emphasizing ( to emphasize = to underline) that AI will transform some  current = existing jobs while  making some jobs redundant = obsolete which is stating the obvious ( to state the obvious = enforcer des portes / dire qqchose de évident)

We discovered some new aspects of the impact of AI on women thanks to this text .

NEW IDEA TO CONCLUDE

But we might wonder also  how these very women will manage to feed their kids when the whole family will be unemployed.

Will the governments in the whole world have to establish a Basic Universal income  ( un salaire universel) to allow people to survive ?
