sell like hot cakes / like fury (se vendre comme des petits pains)
The sales are going up the roof ( les ventes crèvent le plafond)
Have a bat in the ceiling ( avoir une araignée au plafond)
be fashionable= be hype = be trendy

wired= plugged( branché, cablé)
the headline ( le gros titre)


A VISUAL DOCUMENT
the girl wants to escape= flee,
she wants the computer to let her go.
She is scared = frightened= has the shivers= the hibby-jibbies
She bangs on the screen
She is trapped inside = be caught
This girl is dependent on computers
is addicted to the web
is hooked to the internet

The computer appears as a threat/menace/ potential danger
it endangers us= put under threat = jeopardies us ( mettre en danger)

ANOTHER VISUAL DOCUMENT
it rings a bell = it reminds me of something ( ça me rappelle quelquechose)

The scene occurs in Columbine highschool. Two students took some hostages.
Their motive/ goal : they were taunted ( harcelé)= mocked, they were bullied=(violentés)
they wanted to get a revenge = to get it even ( se venger)
They found weapons on the internet.
They broadcasted their videos on the internet, they explained their reasons.
They committed suicide in the end after killing 13 students and injuring 24 others

The two documents share a similarity.they both stress the potential danger that computers might stand for= might embody= might represent.
