Catherine of aragon was henry huit first wife. henry the eight desired/ wanted wished to annul his marriage/ union because /since she couldn't give/ provide him with a son
henry the eight was issued from/coming from the union of his father henry the seventh
Mary the first who was his daugther was a Catholic like her mother.
Ann boleyn took catherine's place and gave birth to elisabeth
she was eventually beheaded on a scaffold for being unfaithful(infidéle)
she put her head on the block and she fell under the axe of the executioner.
the pope refused to grant (accorder) him a divorce.

LADY JANE GREY
she was henry the eight's grand niece as she was the son of his sister's daughter, Frances brandon.
When edward the seventh died, there was no male heir left to go on the throne.Mary was a Catholic and her mother had been rejected by the king.Elisabeth was a protestant but her mother had been convicted for being unfaithful and thus Elisabeth was regarded as a bastard.
So the only other choice was jane Grey who was a protestant as well.
But her reign lasted only 9 days as mary and her supporters defeated her.
She was eventually beheaded along with her husband.
