STEP 4 WHAT IS A PROFILER ? 

 

 

1.    GIVE A DEFINITION OF A PROFILER

A profiler is a person who draws the profile of a criminal. Profiling is the science of identifying  the different types of offender

A profiler is an analyst who studies behaviors to draw conclusions.

2. WHEN DID IT START 

The text states that profiling started in the1970 's: 

 when the FBI behavioral science unit began developing methods to classify offenders.

3.    HOW DO YOU KNOW A PROFILER IS DOING A GOOD JOB 

He is generally of great intelligence 

.he clearly differentiates right from wrong 

 The profiler looks for details about the murderer,then suggests background information.

4. PROFILE NUMBER 1 TYPE AND STATE OF  CRIME SCENE   the crime is organized. The murderer has a great intelligence, he knows how to control his emotions  

Question 4 : The type is generally of great intelligence, has a good job, a circle of friends and lives with a partner. The resulting crime scene is usually very clean, with little evidence. He controls his emotions during crime. He can also create a disorganized crime scene to mislead the police  Alice

He has limited intelligence or is socially inadequate, and his job is generally unskilled. He has no partner and lives or works

6.     PROFILE NUMBER 3 TYPE AND STATE OF THE CRIME SCENE 

The type number 3 is called the mixed offender and he plans the act but he loses  control during the crime and the scene is usually chaotic .He is a  compulsive type .
