He had fallen in love with the fake profile so now he must be disappointed ( déçu) and heart-broken ( le couer brisé)

The girl used catfishing maybe because she is modest and shy.

She might want someone to fall in love with her.

Maybe she does not like herself so she created a fake life for herself.

She should have told the truth ( the truth = la vérité)
