Exercise 2: Reordering and Version Matching

Nature: Structural Flow and Consistency.

This exercise tests whether students can recognize which steps belong together to maintain a coherent, sophisticated "Version 2" or "Version 3" tone, rather than mixing simple and advanced phrasing randomly.

Instructions: The following sentences are mixed up.

1. Reorder the sentences (A to E) chronologically according to the 7-step methodology.
2. Identify which "Version" (Version 1, 2, or 3) this specific introduction mainly draws from.

• A. First I will sum up the facts to prove my understanding of the text, then I will draw your attention to the pros and cons of the issue.
• B. The document given to us is entitled "The Rise of AI".
• C. It first appeared on the website BBC News.
• D. So let’s get cracking!
• E. It was written in October 2025, so we might say it is a fairly topical subject.

Exercise 3: The "Spot and Fix the Blunder" Challenge

Nature: Error Correction and False Friend Identification.

This exercise targets common mistakes, literal translations from French, and structural omissions based on the provided guide.

Instructions: Read the student's introduction below. Find the 4 methodology errors (vocabulary mistakes, forbidden translations, or structural logic errors) and correct them using your lesson.

"The document given to us is entitled 'Green Energy'. It comes from a website. It was published in October the twelve, 2025. The text is about the environment. To study this text, I will eventually find some solutions to the problem, but first I will sum up the facts. So, let's start."

2. Version: This closely follows Version 3 (uses "The document given to us is entitled", "It first appeared", "draw your attention to", and "get cracking").

Exercise 3

1. The Date Preposition: Should be "on October", not "in October" when followed by a specific day.
2. The Ordinal Number: Should be "October the twelfth" (or 12th), not the cardinal number "twelve".
3. The False Friend / Structural Issue (Step 6): The student used "eventually" at the beginning of their plan. According to the method, eventually/finally must come at the end of the plan, not before summarizing the facts.

Exercise 4: Mix-and-Match (Version Reconstruction)

Objective: Test consistency within a specific "Version" or style level (from basic to advanced).

Instructions: The parts of Version 2 and Version 3 have been mixed up. Group them correctly by writing either V2 or V3 next to each phrase.
