DO YOU ENJOY DETECTIVE STORIES ?

The first things that needs to be done here is to define the term of our subject.A detective story is a  narrative that involves  usually a policeman or private investigator who has been called / summoned on a crime scene to solve a mystery.The whole book usually revolves around his investigation and in most cases is concluded by the solution to the mystery.

First of all, it must be acknowledged that these stories are in most cases entertaining to say the least.They are full of suspense thanks to their many read herrings.They are thrilling and captivating when we are following in the footsteps of the investigator trying to solve the crime.

Moreover they usually contain loads of cliffhangers that hook us to the narrative and make us wish to read more.

Therefore, I have to confess that I really appreciate this literary genre .According to me, they are the best read.

On the other hand  , some other literary genres do have my attention as well.To a certain point I find science fiction appealing as well since they can be  as mysterious as a whodunit  while taking us away miles from our hometown. Thus I am an avid reader of that genre as In my view they are a welcome change of scenery.

In a nutshell, we should add that  although detective stories are mesmerizing/ captivating in most cases, we should not forget other types of books.Still a, at the bottom line, the most important is Reading; so anything will do.
