The pros

The cons

  • not a major difference with someone aged 18
  •  to be involved = to be commited ( impliqué)
  • an arbitrary age
  •  be allowed to drive
  •  be allowed to work
  •  increase the amount of voter turnout = the number of people to vote
  • a civic engagement
  •  be already the case in some countries

 

  •  lack the maturity
  • the influence of the media
  •  change view easily
  •  be unpredictable
  •  need time to form their own opinion
  •  borrow ( emprunter) from their parents’ or teachers’ ideas
  •  do harm =  do damage

I disagree with this idea because at 16 we are not mature enough to take such an informed decision

I don’t think we should vote at 16 because we do not know enough about politics to take the right decision

I believe we should not vote at such an early age because we usually do not like politics.

I reckon 16 is too young to vote since teenagers are easily influenced by social media and others.

Moreover I beg to differ with this idea as we are not very serios at 16 and yet voting is a very serious and important affair.

You must be jocking.we can’t be voting at 16 since we lack maturity enough.

On the other hand I fully agree with this idea because we young people could change the world and the system. Politicians are too old to do that.

 SUMMARIZERS :a person who summarizes the main ideas that have been exposed during the debate
