How can you recognise that someone is taking drugs?

-He has red eyes = blood shot eyes
-he's weird=bizarre=odd
-He has the face of a junky
-He's violent = agressive
-He vomits = he throws up
-He's poor because he spends a lot of money on dope
-He is daydreaming
-He's moody = he has emotional roller coasters = going from happy to extremely sad = he changes mood all the time
-A junky has wide-opened pupils
-He's sick = he's gross
-He feels bad when he doesn't have his drugs/ when he is going through cold turkey
-He is pale and he has black bags under his eyes

Why are they taking drugs?

-They feel lonely and they want to fit in/be accepted in a group
-To feel stronger
-Because of peer pressure
-They are desperate
-They are looking for new kicks = sensations = thrills
-It's a way to forget their problems
-They are sad and they want to feel better
-To fill a void(remplir un vide)
-To improve their sports results
-Not to be scared anymore

Consequences of taking drugs

-You can die from an overdose
-It ruins you
-You are hanging out only with junkies so you lose your friends
-You can become depressed= you feel low
 you can fall into crime
 addictions turns you into a loner
 you are easily upset
 you go from one mood to another
 you have bad trips
 it kills your brain cells
 you don't have any goals beyond taking drugs/ getting your fix
 it breaks apart your family unit
 you forget your values and your personality
 you can't work anymore
 you are unable to feel happy beyond articicial happiness
 your social life is ruined/over

It is the story of a girl who committed suicide .
How did she commit suicide?
 she used a rope ( a rope = une corde)
 she hanged herself (hang= se pendre)
 she cut her veins
 she slit her wrists ( slit = fendre) (writss= poignets)
 she smashed her brain (smash = éclater)
 she shot herself in the head
 she swallowed some desinfectant
But why did she kill herself?
 she was an orphan
 she was raped
 she was expecting a child / she got pregnant
