a traitor betrays his friends. you are a rat .
When you want to ruin the reputation of someone, you blab on him/her.You are a blabbermouth

WHY?Find the cause of the following actions:

Emmy had been conceived to save her sister's life.But she refused to give one of her kydneys.

Emmy had gone to see a lawyer to sue for her rights when her sister died because she had not had a transplant.

PAST PERFECT (simple)
a)Construction:
Had + part passé
ex: she had gone away when I arrived.
b)Emploi :
action passée AVANT une autre action passée.
Donc la 2 ème action au simple past est la conséquence de la première action au Past perfect.

PAST PERFECT ING
a)Construction:
Had+part passé + ING

LA VALEUR DE LA FORME EN ING
B) Past Perfect ing

Had Been + ing
ex: she had been running because she decided to dump him

C)LA FORME SIMPLE OU LA FORME EN ING :EXERCICE
Simple= fait brut/ neutre # ING= J -ustification

C-ommentaire
S -ujet
ex: he works in a garage (fait neutre/élément nouveau →)
Ask him to repair your car.You know he IS WORKING in a garage (justification/ retour en arrière sur qq de connu et insistence sur le sujet. ← )
