CATCHING UP ON THE BLACK HISTORY IN THE US

Before the civil war white people despise the black community .They wanted to maintain slavery.After the defeat of the South , they created new type of laws called the Jim Crow laws to recreate the power they had lost over the Blacks.
The Civil Right movements of the 1950's tried to purt an end to that and more particularly to the segregation that prevented the blacks from having any rights.Blacks organized boycots and sit ins to fight against the regime of the Separate but Equal formula which was supposed t ensure that the Black community would benefit from the same facilities as the Whites .In practical terms this was b=never the case , as the blacks had to use accomodations which were far inferior to those granted to the Whites.
we saw pictures of black people Who were beaten up by the KKK who organized lynching and public hangings to force the black community into submission.
the civil rights movement was led by MLK who was later assassinated.
