READ THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS OF THE BLACK AMERICAN HISTORY .tell us what you know about it .

Martin Luther King was a priest / a preacher who fought against discrimitation in the 50's.He used non_violent methods to achieve his goal (parvenir à son but).
He made a famous speech entitled « I have a dream » .His aim was to free the Blacks from segregation and racism.
He used sit-ins and boycotts as a means (moyen) to demonstrate whereas Malcom X favoured/chose violent methods to resist.
Rosa park was a Black lady.In the 50's she triggered/ started a boycott by refusing to give up (abandonner) her seat to a white person in a bus.Indeed at the time buses were segregated that is the blacks were obliged to sit in the rear (arrière) section/ at the back of the bus.As Roas park refused to leave her seat for a white man , she was arrested/ put in jail/ put in prison/ thrown in a cell.Black people were so offended that they decided to boycott the bus company for a year.For a year, hundreds of blacks were walking to go to work or anywhere to obtain the end of the segregation.
Lynching was the practise used by the KuKluxKlan to kill negroes by hanging them on trees and throwing (throw= jeter) stones at them.

The scene takes place/occurs/ is set in a bus .
We can see/ notice/ perceive/ observe/remark a black woman.She is called Rosa Park. She is seated in the front of the bus which is unusual since the buses at the time where segregated and blacks were forbidden from standing in the front which was reserved to white people.
Behind Rosa park , we can perceive a white policeman. They are waiting for the police to come and arrest Rosa Park.
